A Friendly Start to Music – Right Here at School
Children at All Saints Infant School can now take part in small-group ukulele lessons during the school day, led by professional tutors from The Music Works. It’s a fun, flexible way to explore music — without needing to stay after school or travel.
The Music Works is a Surrey-based organisation recently named Music School of the Year. Their tutors are experienced in working with younger children, helping them build musical skills, confidence, and coordination in a friendly and structured setting.
Lessons take place weekly during the school day in small, friendly groups of around 3–5 children.
Every child is welcome to begin with a free trial ukulele lesson, so families can experience the approach before signing up.
If cost is a concern, funded music lessons may be available through The Cheryl King Trust, a local charity that helps ensure children can access music lessons regardless of financial circumstances.

As the year progresses, pupils will also have the chance to take part in a school music showcase — a fun and informal way to share what they’ve learned and celebrate their progress.
