  3. 7 by 7

7 x 7

At All Saints we value the importance of a broad, balanced curriculum. We have created our 7 x 7 which goes beyond the National Curriculum.  It equips our children with the skills to meet the challenge of life with confidence!

We worked together with parents, governors and staff to create our 7 by 7 pledge.

1. I can greet a visitor, look them in the eyes and shake their hand

2. I know how to say hello in 7 different languages

3. I can serve my community

4. I know my home address and a parent’s phone number

5. I can run for 7 minutes without stopping

6. I can recognise and name 7 birds, trees and flowers

7. I can name 7 famous pieces of music and identify sounds of 7 musical instruments

The children will receive a certificate for completing the 7 by 7 by the time they leave All Saints School.

We launched our 7 x 7 with a 'WOW'. The children had a carousel of challenges linked to our 7 x 7. This was an opportunity for the children to gauge whether they could already achieve any of the 7 challenges. We had parents in to help with teaching our children to say 'hello' in 7 different languages.

The children thoroughly enjoyed their day and it was great to hear that the 7 x 7 was discussed among families at home. All the children were extremely excited by the challenges and have used every opportunity possible to practise saying 'hello' or learning their home address and phone numbers!

'When I was learning French, I knew it. When I was learning some of the other languages, I didn't, so I learnt something new'.

Alex, Kingfishers

'Today was so awesome. It was so fun!'

Ems, Kingfishers

'I liked trying to find and name birds and flowers 'Up the Hill'. I liked the snowdrops because they made me feel happy'.

Rex, Kingfishers
